Sri Ramanuja Charitable Trust has initiated several scholarship and educational programs aimed at empowering underprivileged students and providing them with essential skills for employment and personal development. These programs are structured to cover a wide range of age groups, academic backgrounds, and skill levels, ensuring that no student is left behind due to financial constraints or social disadvantage.
1. Ramanuja-1000 Computer Education
The flagship initiative, Ramanuja-1000 Computer Education, offers students access to a comprehensive curriculum in modern computer skills. The courses include:
- Basic and Advanced Computing: DMO, HDCA, MSE, DCA
- Programming and Development: C, C++, Python, Java, J2EE, ADJP, .NET, ADTP
- Web and Design: Web Designing, Adobe Publishing, DTP, Page Maker, InDesign, Corel Draw, Illustrator, PCP
- Specialized Skills: Hardware & Networking, HDCP, DAST, DEP, TALLY PRIME with GST, Data Analyst
This program ensures that students develop both technical proficiency and practical experience, making them job-ready and competitive in the modern workforce.
2. Ramanuja Jayanthi Scheme
Every year, the Trust sponsors 1,000 students, providing them with free courses of their choice on the occasion of Sri Ramanuja Jayanthi. Students can learn technical and creative software such as DMO, C-Language, C++, Photoshop, Corel Draw, Page Maker, InDesign, and Illustrator.
The program also emphasizes holistic development through extracurricular activities, including:
- Competitions: Thirupaavai recitation, drawing, carrom, chess, musical chair
- Cultural and Spiritual Engagement: Poojas and other religious ceremonies to enhance moral values and cultural awareness
3. Ramanuja Computer Training College
This college caters specifically to students who have failed or discontinued their studies in 9th–12th standards due to academic or family challenges. The Trust provides specialized job-oriented courses that are structured to enhance employment opportunities.
- Timing: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Duration: 1 year
- Focus: Practical skills for industry readiness, career counseling, and mentorship
4. Udaiyavar Thiruvadi Scheme
Under this scheme, the Trust fully supports the educational journey of students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Support Offered: School and college fees, counseling programs, meditation sessions, and school uniforms
- Objective: To reduce dropout rates and encourage continuous learning
5. Thaan Ugantha Thirumeni Scheme
Focused on unemployed individuals and homemakers, this program delivers computer training courses like DMO and DTP.
- Timing: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Goal: Provide practical skills that create employment opportunities and self-sufficiency
6. Ramanuja Child Scheme
Designed for +2 girls who have lost parents or guardians, this scheme emphasizes comprehensive development:
- Courses: DCA, ADTP, TALLY, Basic Hardware, Internet
- Additional Training: Spoken English, group discussion, skill development, and job interview preparation
- Duration: 1 year
- Impact: Helps prevent early marriage and supports independent livelihoods
7. Sri Alluri Venkadathri Swamigal Scholarship
- Beneficiaries: 50 students annually
- Course: DCA
- Occasion: Commemorates the 200th birthday of Sri Alluri Venkadathri Swamigal
- Focus: Encourages academic excellence and honors historical figures
8. Emperumaanar Dharisanam Scheme
This program provides regular yoga, meditation, internet classes, and tuition for village students. Periodic tests and follow-ups are conducted to monitor progress and ensure consistent academic development.
9. Thamar Ugantha Thirumeni Scheme
This scheme offers free photography classes for underprivileged students.
- Timing: Sunday mornings, 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
- Method: Includes field training to develop practical skills and professional techniques
10. Pragalanathan Scheme
Aimed at young children, this initiative introduces basic digital and creative skills:
- Courses: Paint, MS-PowerPoint, Typing
- Objective: Build foundational digital literacy and creativity
11. Mannin Maindhan Abdul Kalam Scheme
Targeting students of Government School, this scheme combines education with inspiration from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam:
- Activities: Counseling, study guidance, motivational sessions
- Fees: 1st–5th Standard: Rs. 1/- 6th–8th Standard: Rs. 10/-
- Additional Learning: Media classes, basic Maths, SpeedMaths, General Knowledge
12. Bharathiyar Scheme
- Target Group: Students from Corporation Schools
- Fee: Rs. 1/-
- Focus: Accessibility to computer education for poor students
13. Swami Vivekanandar Scheme
- Target Group: Students who failed 10th standard public exams
- Timing: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Objective: Provide remedial education and prepare students for future exams
14. Karma Veerar Kamarajar Scheme
- Courses: DMO
- Fee: Rs. 100/-
- Target Group: Underprivileged students
- Purpose: Build essential computer literacy
