Thirumangaiyazwan Project – Ennore

Sri Ramanuja Charitable Trust established the Thirumangaiyazwan Branch in Ennore to support students from disadvantaged families, particularly children of fishermen and daily-wage laborers.
For many of these students, basic computer education was out of reach due to the high cost of private institutes. In addition, Ennore had no dedicated computer training centers, further limiting opportunities for local children to acquire essential digital skills.
To bridge this gap, the Trust opened the Thirumangaiyazwan Branch with the mission of providing affordable, accessible, and quality computer education to students from this community.

Kanchi Periyavar Project-Ponneri

The Ponneri Project, also known as the Kanchi Periyavar Branch, was established by the Sri Ramanuja Charitable Trust to make computer education accessible to underprivileged students. Ponneri is a vital hub that connects nearly 180 villages, with several Corporation schools serving the region.
Unfortunately, many children from poor families in Ponneri have been unable to attend computer classes due to high fees, leaving such opportunities largely restricted to children from wealthier households. As a result, numerous students either failed their public examinations or were forced to discontinue their studies due to financial struggles.
To address this gap, the Trust identified and selected these students, providing them with affordable computer training and job-oriented programs. By offering both education and employment pathways, the Kanchi Periyavar Branch empowers disadvantaged students to overcome barriers, continue their learning, and secure a brighter future.

Sri Udaiyavar Kottai Project-Elavur Village

Sri Ramanuja Charitable Trust established the Udaiyavar Kottai Branch in Elavur Village with the mission of providing computer education to underprivileged students, especially those from the Irular community and other socially and economically disadvantaged families.
Elavur Village, located in the Gummidipoondi Taluk of Thiruvallur District, faces significant educational challenges due to widespread poverty and the lack of modern learning resources. With no affordable computer training centers in the area, children have long been denied opportunities to acquire essential digital skills.

To bridge this gap, the Trust inaugurated the Udaiyavar Kottai Branch on 8th October 2016. This initiative not only equips students with computer literacy but also empowers the youth of Elavur Village by bridging the digital divide and creating pathways to higher education and employment opportunities.

Kurathazwan Project – Periyakarumbur

Arulmigu Anandhavalli Samedha Agatheeswarar Thirukovil

Sri Ramanuja Charitable Trust established the Kurathazwan Branch at the Arulmigu Anandhavalli Samedha Agatheeswarar Temple in Periyakarumbur, with the goal of extending computer education to students from nearly 38 surrounding villages. Many of these villages face severe infrastructure challenges, including the lack of reliable transportation, which restricts children from accessing quality learning centers.
By conducting computer classes within the temple premises, the Trust has creatively utilized a community space to make education accessible and inclusive. This initiative not only bridges the digital divide but also equips rural students with essential skills that enhance their academic and career opportunities.
This project demonstrates how community collaboration and education initiatives can bring tangible benefits to rural students, fostering both learning and empowerment.
